Many users of InTouch managed or published applications have been utilizing the new ArchestrA graphics introduced with the release of Wonderware Application Server 3.0 and Wonderware InTouch 10.0. Recently Wonderware released new versions of each product as Wonderware Application Server 3.1 and Wonderware InTouch 10.1. As well as resolving a number of known issues (for more information please refer to the IAS 3.1 and InTouch 10.1 ReadMe documents) they also introduced some new features in regards to working with ArchestrA graphics. This document is to help users understand and take advantage of the new features in order to get the. With the release of the ArchestrA Bulk Import Utility, it is possible to directly convert Wonderware InTouch tagnames into the ArchestrA IDE (Integrated Development Environment) as application objects.
This tech note details the basic procedure required to perform this task with a select set of Wonderware InTouch tags under a single alarm group. Specifically, this example involves importing discrete and analog tags used to represent pumps and PID (Proportional Integral Derivative) control loops. Please note that the procedure for larger applications or 3rd party HMIs may be more involved. For further details on using the ArchestrA Bulk Import utility please. When working in Wonderware InTouch for Terminal Service Environments it is the default behavior to lock all WindowViewer processes to the first CPU; however, it is fairly common for server class systems to have multiple core CPUs or even multiple CPUs. Wonderware has released the 'InTouch Affinity Control' which allows system administrators to take advantage of the processing power, and distribute all of the client InTouch sessions across all available CPUs.
This document will list the procedures necessary to install and utilize the 'InTouch Affinity Control'. This tech note details the procedures necessary to embed the Wonderware ActiveFactory 9.2 aaTrend.NET control in ArchestrA symbols and Wonderware Application Server 3.0. Using the aaTrend.NET control gives end-users the flexibility to create context sensitive trends associated with templates and instances.
Wonderware is the market leader in HMI SCADA, industrial information, operations management and industrial automation software focused on creating the most innovative and reliable industrial software that empowers individuals, teams and businesses of all sizes, to become extraordinary.
This results in graphical trends (Wonderware ActiveFactory) which automatically reference tags (from a Historian database) that have been created by object instances. This document consists of three parts:. Part 1 - shows how to use generic ArchestrA Trend Symbol in Wonderware InTouch. Part 2 - shows how to use generic ArchestrA Trend Symbol in the ArchestrA IDE. Part 3. Default Wonderware InTouch application settings can result in long waits opening ArchestrA IDE managed applications containing a large number of windows with embedded ArchestrA Graphics. Each window is programmatically opened to complete the initial load of all ArchestrA graphics in the development environment.
Adding a setting to the application's INTOUCH.INI file can vastly improve the initial load times in Wonderware InTouch WindowMaker for instances when this delay adversely affects the speed of development. This document lists the steps necessary to locate and add the LoadAllActiveXOnStartup flag set to zero in the managed application's INTOUCH.INI file.
Dear members, I'm working on a project with wonderware intouch 10.1 but now i have a serious problem with the screen resolution. The original application was created and published by Archestra IDE then i try to open it by Intouch application manager. The resolution of the screen is different so it can't be open by the Window viewer. When the popup window ask me to convert this to the different resolution or not, if i click no, it close, if yes, it start and view the application but there's nothing on the pages, like this: I think this has to do with the resolution config in archestra IDE when create a new application, but i also dont know how to change the resolution of the already created one. Please help!!! Thank for your help, guys, but i have already solved the problem myself:D, that seems to be easier than i expected. What i did here may become a tip to someone have the same problem: 1.
Go to Archestra IDE, right click on the application check in (to be able to check out) This action will make the whole thing simple:D 2. Right click to that app, click publish.and it will create an app that can be open by Intouch viewer. Open Intouch Application manager find app, point to that app you just created, when the name of it is in the list, right click on it choose 'window viewer' on the context menu, do not double click to open it!!!
Don't bother about the screen resolution anymore, and.BAM!!! The runtime pages display as perfectly as ever:D 4.
